Are loudmouthed kids ruining Live?

Post by FullMetalParka »

Is it just me, or has there been a marked increase in the amount of loudmouthed, swear-like-a-drunken-sailor-because-I-think-I'm-cool kids on Live lately, especially on Halo 3? Nary a game goes by where I don't hear 8 little kids (in the 10-13 year old bracket) swearing like Colin Ferrel on a bad hair day making old, tired jokes about mothers and trying to make everyone think they're older than they really are through swearing.

Look, I have nothing against kids playing Halo. I just wish that they would, you know, tone it down a notch. Kids: it is not cool to swear ALL THE TIME, and it doesn't make you seem older or more mature. Because of you, I now have to mute everyone, or I suddenly get the urge to go strangle a cat. The sound is much more relaxing than the sound of a chorus of 12 year olds saying "THAT'S WHAT YOUR MOM SAID LAST NIGHT!" So kids: don't stop playing, just keep in mind that no one likes a loudmouth.

That is my rant for this evening. And yes, as a matter of fact, I AM in my "grumpy old guy" mood.

Also, mute them. You win. They lose. Get over the 6 seconds you had to listen while you moved through the player list and pressed a button. A permanent solution to your temporary problem. Honestly, it isn't difficult. I frequently mute every person in the game, aside from my party members. Stop being lazy, you have complete control, you just fail to exert power.
