I don't think they gave an exact date, all they've said is that the map designers are hard at work creating these 5(?) new maps. I expect with-in a 1-3 weeks.

1-3 weeks, naw probably in spring.

As long as they don't operate on Valve time.

By spring or Early summer next year they are supposedly releasing a small map pack.

Right now they are taking suggestions at Bungie I believe.

Overall people want Bloodgulch, Sidewinder, and Beavercreek back.

But they mostly plan on larger maps much like Sandtrap with potential at larger vehicle battles. Hoping they build in drop ships for use or maybe like a flight version of the elephant or something. Or even original Pelicans and Phantoms would be nice.

You know they won't do it though because they probably think that would be too much for their servers.

That has never, ever been stated. The is no factual basis behind that.

No.

So?

No. They are working primarily on small, symmetrical maps. Your claim is nearly 100% wrong.

Big maps are no more of a strain than small maps. Server capacity has absolutely nothing to do with any of this.

If they want Blood Gulch and Sidewinder back, they can play Halo 1, neh?

I for one am very glad Bungie has sense enough not to overuse maps..

Well, I thought that at one point in time they said only 3 maps?

Also, I heard that they were making a map bigger than Sandtrap.

And that it's being released right before Christmas.

Maybe just rumors...

sidewinder, I wouldn't mind. but blood gultch &beaver creak has already been made twice.

But if they do make any remakes, I'de only like Foundation, Turf, Chill out, or Midship. I really dont think halo 2 had any decent large maps, besides Coagulation, which I am tired of.

Am I the only one that misses Headlong a lot? That would be awesome if they made a new map in the same style.

i prefer small maps because you have more battle and less campers. usually you spawn inside a battle. and i second foundation they will NOT REMAKE bloodgulch because valhalla is the spiritrual successor of bloodgulch. i wouldn't complain if they remade wizard(or warlock)

I agree with more small maps. That means people (like my friend and I) who don't have Xbox Live gold and can only play splitscreen can have more fun.

He wasn't making you look stupid, he was preventing a bunch of other people from believing false information, etc. Rule of thumb when it comes to information is to have a reliable source before you post it.

Am I the only one who misses Lockout?

I mean really, I thought there'd be rants about why Lockout wasn't remade like Zanzibar. Although, I haven't seen anything even relatively close to a rant about there being no Lockout. Maybe people are satisifed with Guardian, however I still want my Lockout.

I like the MLG type maps, so I'd like to see Lockout, Midship, Beaver Creek, Warlock, and Sanctuary make their return. Yes, I know, BC and Warlock have already been used 2x, but I still like them.

midship was fun for grenade wars cause you started with plasmas and i still say midship will be remade eventually. Sanctuary was fun for ctf swat. I would like to see more earthbound maps though like a spirtual predisesor to turf.

No. Guardian is the worst map packaged with Halo 3. I'd rather play Isolation than Guardian.

Guardian is good enough for me. It has the same basic layout and feel to it in my opinion. I think remaking Lockout when they already have Guardian would be a waste of time.

Edit: I hope that's sarcasm, Tural. Isolation sucks bad IMO.
