Well, I was playing CTF on sandtrap today, BTB. I was driving one of the elephants, and all of the sudden, blue guy spawns in it (It was the red side Elephant)WTF?! At first I thought it was a glitch and dispatched him. I then continued on my great journey in the elephant, except seconds later, another spawns, and this time he has a buddy. Long story short, they kill me and grab our flag and run off into the sunset...


WTF?! Why were blues spawning in the red base on CTF?

Lag?

Woah, i don't know. That's crazy.
Although, I've never played Sandtrap in MM before, so I can't help you there. I'll have to go with Kirk on "Lag".

Just another reason not to play BTB.

They were definitely spawning... It might be because some retard was taking it for a joyride and parked it behind their tower(That's why I got in to drive it), but why would that make them spawn inside OUR base?
Normally, I Hate BTB, but my friends always want to play it, so I'm stuck with it until I gt my Xbox fixed ;_;

Well iv'e only played ne bit of the first level in halo 3 iv'e not even touched the multi-player yet so i wasn't sure

Are you sure it was your elephant? I Played a CTF game where we managed to trade elephants, so the game was like the Halo 1 assault, where you just take the flag to the enemy base. I scored the winning point with a well placed grav lift though. It was an awesome game.

I was about to say the same thing. Tanasoo, this does sound like you just parked over a few spawn points causing the game to force them to spawn "higher" than normal onto the Elephant. Are you absolutely positive you weren't just on their Elephant?

Nah, spawns don't work like that, as from what I can see in Forge.

Well, it had OUR flag in it, on the flag base, and after I died I could see them run up, grab the flag, and it said flag stolen... I'm pretty sure it was because it was near their base, so it assumed the spawn points were for the blue elephant. I wish I saved the game, I'll check the cache...

If you go into their half of the map with your elephant, then they might spawn in it.

In Halo3, and I think Halo2 too, there are respawn zones for each team, usually a large cylinder. The people on the team can respawn on any of the respawn points inside the zone. If you drive the elephant into their zone, then the spawn points are inside the zone too and can be spawned on by the other team.
