Linking Gamertag

Well I just made a new gamertag (thanks to Detox) because my other gamertag had some payment problem crap and I never linked my gamertag on the other one. So I wanted to link my new gamertag so I sign into bungie.net then go to xbox.com and my gamertag shows up on my bungie.net profile no problem but in Halo 3 the 7th column isn't behind my name what gives? Is this happening to other people?
