if there is a more appropriate topic direct me 2 it if you are holding the sniper and you zoom in but hold down the r stick then let go you zoom only for the duration the stick is held down the same thing happens if you are already zoomed to 5x you zoom to 10x then go back to 5x

It was in Halo 2 as well...good job finding it on your own I guess.

Indeed. It isn't really that great. I never use it.

Didn't know that. Would be nicer in counter-strike though.

Didn't know this either this is very relevant and can give you that little extra 1up on the enemy in shottys and snipers rather then cycling through the zoom modes.

Nope, once you zoom back to 5x, it makes you zoom back into 10x again. It would give you less of an advantage if anything.

heh, I click the sticks so fast, it doesn't make that much of a difference, and sense I am in the habit of clicking once I am shot anyways, it would cause problems.

[offtopic] HAve you guys ever been zoomed in and heard a shot fired at you, so you try to zoom out, but you get hit, and it auto zooms out, so you zoom in, and then you try to zoom back out, but get shot aigan, and basically you get stuck zooming in and die? Ok thats heard to interpret >_>

Yea, I know what you're talking about. You think you are zooming out but you get shot and then you zoom in again. It just goes all down hill from there.

Anyways, I think this is more for looking around / scoping out the area for enemies. You hold it down for as long as you want to see, then let go. I guess they did it so that you don't have to click the thumbstick 2x or for machinima. I'm not sure. Nonetheless, it's a pretty cool feature to have.

Surprisingly a lot of people don't know about this feature, it can be handy for closer ranged sniping.

Legendary: Press B.

Sounds like it would be a really hard task for me >_< I use b to zoom in. I couldn't imagine holding down b while trying to snipe someone. XD

not that hard... :/

And this is very useful, though more in multiplayer than single player.

I either do that or press Y twice really fast when that happens. In fact, I usually find myself pressing Y to get out of scope whatever the situation.
