I noticed on the Halo 3 LE Bonus Disc, in the Bestarian(err whatever it's called), It has the engineer listed on it. I thought the engineer was cut from the game all together. Is it in Halo 3 somewhere?

Why did they put it in the Beastarium.

Because its still part of the Halo Universe a la The books
Edit: I personally am surprised they didn't add at least one Engineer as an easter egg or something.

Though it was cut from the game it is still considered a creature in the Halo Universe. I wish they had put it in Halo 3, just as neutral AI, that repair vehicles, and such.
(EDIT: Aha, INSANEdrive... >_> it seems we thought the same thing. At the same time)

I think it would have been unique if they put it back in, maybe use for a "chop-shop" to build the brute vehicles.

Nobody actually explained that it was an unused biped in halo1 xbox. They didn't bother using it in any of the games.

Perhaps one of the new flood types is supposed to be an Engineer?

Nope, and even if it was in the game, the flood wouldn't be able to get in them because the size of them.

Size doesn't matter to the flood. As long as it has enough calcium reserves or whatever the flood lives on, it can infect it.

size does matter. cuz flood can't attached to things smaller than it( ei. hunters) flood life off of carbon by the way.

because floods grow as it collect mass. if we don't kill them they will grow to the size of gravemind.

Only reason hunters cannot be infected is that their not one entity but a entire colony of worm/eel like creatures get your facts right...

no duh... ea worm is smaller than a flood. so the flood can't just attached to them. besides if you would infect a hunter there would be like 1k flood on ea hunter....
