Yea i finally got around to beating halo 3 and all I can say is what the hell is up with the ending?! MC and the Arbitor are both fine heading out of there. Next thing you know hes dead!? Did i miss something wtf?!

I also dont understand how the arbiter got away, but chief dies when they were on the same ship.

The portal closed before the entire ship got through. Chief was in the back, he got left. Arbiter was in the front, he made it.

Just youtube the ending, unless you want to beat legendary.

From what I've seen, Cortana and the Chief are stuck in space on the ship.
Cortana: "I'll send out a beacon, but it's going to be a long time before anyone finds us. Years even.
**Master Chief gets into a cryo chamber**
Chief: "Wake me when you need me"

Then the ship drifts off toward a planet.

The only part exclusive to Legendary is the bit showing their ship drift off to a nearby planet...the after credits cut scene up to "Wake me when you need me" can be seen on any difficulty.

Unusually, the game didn't give me any credits to watch(probably my fault for pressing a button), so I didn't get to see that scene.

so he goes into the chryo bay till he gets found huh. gives it a feel like master chief will come back weather in the halo series or a new series in the halo area. nice dramatic ending every 1rst person shooter should have a dramatic ending like that it was nice.

Frankly, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was a last game in the Halo universe...tying in Halo and Marathon. If they tried REALLY hard, they could make it work...

I just did a few minutes ago. The last level was effin' sweet.

liked the ending, but the game felt too short to me

I beat the game on legendary at first so I saw the complete ending, but yeah the ship gets cut in half and mc and cortana are left behind in space drifting towards some planet..Pretty weird, I wonder if they'll continue the story of Halo even more, I sure hope so.
