Will your halo 2 modding knowlage change how you look at how halo 3 runs. Like with forge think about all the technical tag work in it.

i for one think if it manages to change the views of all the greatest modders around, such as Iron_Forge or TheSwampFox, then perhaps, just perhaps, we could find a way to convert the Forge system to halo and halo 2... just maybe, if at all possible, that is.

After acquiring my knowledge that I have with Halo 2. Any other game I play I think about how the technical stuff works while I'm playing. I cant wait to crack open a finalized halo 3 map open in a hex editor 'tis will be a good moment'

Yeah, same here. Before modding Halo2, I had NO idea how Vidya gaems worked. Not I have same basic understandng, even though its different from game to game.
Like when I looked at halo 3 stuff, I was like "Oh, look at those BLOCs!"

wow making good mods with halo 3 will be tough cuz bungie like already gives us alot of the stuff that's currently a 3rd party program for modding. all there's left is you need to spend time on your mod instead of these nooby mods that's being released.

Basically, it already has without the need of halo3. When I played Halo1 I thought i was magnificent. I started to mod Halo1 and when I played Halo2 I thought it looked even better. Since I started modding Halo2...I always look at things on how they could be improved through modding and how things could also be completely changed around by adding or removing certain elements. I even analyze other games on how the textures look or other certain aspects of the map/level. It's opened up another world of how I look at games and I appreciate that. I think it gives me more of a right to call myself a gamer, because not only do I look at it like it's a game but also a creation with the use of other tools and resources. It's difficult to describe how it's broadened the way I see video games anymore. Shit, i've talked so much modding jibber jabber in the past few years, even my friends that have no idea how to mod know terms. It's extremely funny when they ask things like "can you create your own custom bsp". Though, all they know is the word/letters and how it correlates to the actual base model you play on, because i've said the term before.
Today I was editing a Halo1 campaign map with a friend over and I was telling him how I was going to swap the normal MC biped. He asked my why I didn't just say model and I explained to him how it's associated with modding and the map file.

I'm going to be most likely converting my self into Halo 3 modding anyway, With the forge program to move things on the map for you will we even completely need a bsp viewer? Once we find out how to get H3 working on a modified 360 dashboard, we can always play it off the HDD, Mod the map to make the cash we have to spend on forge to 1,000,000,000 or w.e. We can use that program to do the work, bsp spawn changing for us. I think Halo 2 modding will still live on of course, but will start to die off slighty over time when halo 3 becomes more easier and easier to mod, I don't think we are going to be trying to convert more H3 stuff into H2, they'll probably be working on ways to mod H3 more and more and make it easier for the community to do the same.

yeah but if only we knew how to bypass the ping filter so we can play with the mods online.
