Jetpack in halo3?

Post by leadphalanx »

If you watch the making of the halo3 trailer video, in the background of some guy talking, you can see a computer monitor, with what looks to me like a human with a jetpack on his back..... has anyone else noticed this?

Definatley not a prophet, it COULD be a brute but they aren't fat enough, could be a grunt but its too tall and skinny. Could be a bugger but doesnt look like it. New race mb?

im thinking new species. (also check out the weapons they've got).
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Sorry about the super bump, but I agree with the "new species" theory. I have somthing pertinent to add.

Those guys are far too skinny to be brutes. I believe them to be a new race, called the "Sharquoi". If you bought the Collector's Edition of Halo 2, go find it. Dig out the "Conversations From the Universe" booklet, and turn the page twice. You should be at the pages right before all of the near-illegible purple text (You should be on Page 6, but the pages aren't labeled so just count them off). Read the conversation. The elites (assumed) speaking are conversing about how the Humans appear to be very weak and primitive, yet have brilliant tactics, and are much more committed than the Unggoy (grunts), and they will throw themselves into Covenant defenses with honor. One elite briefly describes a race yet unseen, the Sharquoi.
elite with green text wrote: >>> No. I do not think that is the reasoning. They continue to lose territory, and pattern or no pattern, these defenses must be part of a perimeter. I suspect we are forcing them into a tighter arena than they care to fight in - soon we may be able to use the Sharquoi. And their victories, however few, always rely on the same thing - strategy, brute force, or luck. No. The only secret they hold is the location of their homeworld.

FReAK, those same creatures are in the Halo 3 promo ad, and Frankie said they are Brutes.

:(

Oh. nvm then, but I honestly think that they look too slim to be Brutes. Ah well, I tried. I still want to see if the "Sharquoi" will actually come into play in Halo 3 =\
