Legendary Map 2: Avalanche
Whenever I go off saying that "it isn't [insert map here]" even when there is a fair amount of evidence that it is, it usually ends up to be just that. I guess I have it stuck in my mind that everybody is out to fool everybody else. That and I seriously doubted Bungie would have both a remake and a spiritual successor to the same map in the same game.
So, I shall say that this Moonlight Sonata is Lockout.
I'm not saying I want it to be lockout, though I have to admit defeat when it is due. And hell, maybe it isn't. Nobody can say for sure until next Tuesday.
Sorry Chiron TL34, maybe next time :'(

I think...That I just pooped a little bit.ScottyGEE wrote:Since this is essentially the legendary map thread, there's also this speculation to add to what seems to be piles of lockout evidence:

Magazine cover.

I was being hasty and just saw "chilly" and jumped on Chill Out because that was one of my most played maps (right behind Damnation, if not tied with it). I don't follow the community when it comes to these sort of things, I wouldn't have even known of the "description" of the map if someone didn't post it in the thread. Meh.ScottyGEE wrote:This is where I say: There seems to be so much pointing towards lockout right now, is there anything at all that tells people it ISN'T lockout? And what I mean by isn't is that things have been described as unlockout-y, not "but it also fits chillout" going by GTAF as an example.
We'll see when it's released.ScottyGEE wrote:Also, having new viewpoint of the map, do you still dislike it Tural/Gtaf/Kirk/other-people-that-aren't-as-kool-as-the-prior

A Lockout would be coolio, but I would like to see some other maps done a lot more than I would Lockout. And if it is Lockout, at least now I can stop hearing about how much everybody wants a Lockout port or remake.

Maybe because it's not Coagulation in any way. It is a spiritual successor, it is a canyon with two bases. That's what makes it a spiritual successor. You can't really say it failed when it is exactly what it is intended to be...sneakyn8 wrote:vallhalla failed as a spiritual successor or even relative of coag i dont feel coag in it at all
Well I suppose that sucks for you, considering it's already a confirmed remake.{TP}Spartan wrote:I don't want lockout I want something new,no ports,no remakes,NEW
The magazine is most likely the April issue, which is what he is referring to. He's not saying the official information may be fake, he's saying that image of the magazine cover may be a fake concept art for AFD, made by the magazine editors, not Bungie.Kirk wrote:Except that Tuesday is still in March, which is why I'm more inclined to believe things right now than to ignore them.
Yes, but that Magazine's issue would be April's, according to how magazines go for me.Kirk wrote:Except that Tuesday is still in March, which is why I'm more inclined to believe things right now than to ignore them.
Of course, me accepting that it's lockout (according to my above theory) means that it won't be, so I don't know what the hell is going on now.
Read Tural's post above me. I don't know why it didn't give that "somebody has posted before you" message.
