Agreed.
It was my favorite map from Halo also, I loved how you could slide on the ice with th warthogs, might get fun in this new remake.
Though this one looks a lot more detailed. I hope they didn't go completely overboard with the remake.

I don't even like H3 anymore and might buy these.

It's like Sidewinder minus ladders, plus high walls.

Yeah, that fact merited a whole "Bungie lied to us" thread at their forums

I think that wasn't the only one either. Nevertheless, ladders were still rarely used after Halo 1, so there isn't much point in that discussion.

This just proves that even Bungie wants to pretend Waterworks never happened.

I liked latters /= although they didn't look realistic, it gave sidewinder fun gameplay.

I would like to see Ascension remade. I always enjoyed a good game of tower of power :D
But from the descriptions of the third map it seems extremely unlikely. Its almost an exact description of Lockout.

Agreed. Not to mention that Ascension was the best map for SWAT.

Since this is essentially the legendary map thread, there's also this speculation to add to what seems to be piles of lockout evidence:

Magazine cover.

Sure its not much, but it does as I said, add to the rumour.

This is where I say: There seems to be so much pointing towards lockout right now, is there anything at all that tells people it ISN'T lockout? And what I mean by isn't is that things have been described as unlockout-y, not "but it also fits chillout" going by GTAF as an example.

In the sidewinder overhead weapons picture, I don't see a sniper rifle. I know this is going to piss off soo many kids. but this makes me so excited. I am the biggest spartan laser whore there is. Sniper is the only thing that can stop me. I'm invincible now :D ha.

JacksonCougAr wrote:Why does contamination sound familiar? I don't remember a map named that; are you thinking containment?

But yes; this map is to sidewinder as containment is to coagulation <_>

I can only hope I am missing the teleporters <_> It needs teleporters...

Man cannons == fail in front of teleporters <_>

But perhaps this will still be a good map? Perhaps....

O.o Oh my, Scotty Gee, Very nice find. I am now entirely convinced its lockout. Me and a good friend were both hoping on this being a map since before halo 3 came out. Im pumped and I know as soon as I show him that pic he will flip too.
Don't be.
