does the spartan in the pic have different shoulders or is it just me?

I think that's where the secondary color is enabled in multiplayer.

Yes, that is the secondary color. Primary is silver, Secondary is orange, Armor Detail is red.

well no but the actual design of the shoulderpads regardless of the color does it look different to anyone?

They're standard Mark VI shoulder plates. They're identical in design to the ones we've always seen.

I'm not sure how well the flamethrower will work. How long is the range? Is it going to be like Halo PC where you have to hold it on the person for a few seconds before they die? Or will just a little spray kill them, since the fluid will be all over them and then they burst into flames? Especially because it's a support weapon, you're going to be moving very slow while carrying it, how the hell are you going to catch up to somone to flame them to death? Ninja flamethrower, mb?

I don't think it will be very useful. I foresee it being greatly underused.

I think it would be useful when on defense like on CTF or VIP. Having it in king of the hill would be useful.
