I disliked Lockout. A lot. I would always get games on that level, it was almost guaranteed that every other game I'd get it. There'd be occasions of course where I wouldn't get it for a few games, but generally, it's overplayed and it just irritates me.
I want new material. I don't want a remake of anything else.

yeah. I want a new map themed like flood gate. I love the atmosphere of that map [not the end vagina theme, the foggy city, with bright lights in the sky]. And I like maps with flat ground, no more then 2 floors, ways to get accross the map without running out in the open, and hard surfaces [so grenades bounce, not like isolation, where the grenades just hit the grass, and stay put].
I like smallish maps...I don't want remakes (yet). I am also satisfied by the current lineup not to really care right now though...Possibly because I haven't had enough of a chance to play them all (unlike well....hmmm FAISAL? )
However, if I did really want a new set of maps...Id say I want a night map and a jungle map...The two most wanted maps since I first played Halo...But I believe neither will ever ever happen.

A night-time and/or jungle map would be neat. A remake of Gemini would be quite cool, actually. It was a fairly decent map, good for most objective gametypes and Slayer. It would have a lot of possibilities in Forge. I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of some of the less played H1 maps.
What I really, really, really want.. A land-fill map. A fairly large, flat grounded, simple structures (maybe) map designed entirely for Forge. Bungie could perhaps increase the amount of Scenery available, add some more even, and let people make custom stuff.

KOH_Church, that was a joke...

It's a joke. The sarcasm is so overwhelming that if there was any more, the internet would likely explode.Update wrote:AngelofDeathMG asks,
Is there any way that we will ever be able to play as a grunt? Like a covenant playlist where you could choose to be brute, jackal, grunt, and your start equip based on rank? also, will any classical map be returning?
Nope. We're only remaking Chiron and we're doing, night time, daytime and dusk versions of it.

They've already stated that they are coming out with a semi-blank map with lots and lots of options to build your own map on it.
Personally, I like vehicles and would like to see a few more big maps like Sandtrap. There are plenty of small maps already included. Give us vehicle lovers a few more maps.
And I like Guardian, but that's probably because I do well on it for some reason. But them I'm pretty bad, so maybe the map is good for the mediocre...

Well, that clarifies my night time styled map.Which reminds me of one more downloadable map. The scariest map of all time. Dark, frightening and surprisingly enormous. One of the scariest things that has ever happened to me (and this in a lifetime fraught with terror) was racing away from a marauding gang of zombies in Infection atop a Mongoose, only to have one leap out of the darkness ahead and unseat me with a throaty scream. I call that level John Carpenter's Prince of Dorkness. It's not as catchy as Jub Jub, but it's every bit as accurate.

Maybe a Gemini-type map? We've been testing the new maps pretty regularly and I loved all except one, which for the purposes of this article, I shall refer to as, "Purple Reign." I sometimes have an initially adverse reaction to symmetrical or semi-symmetrical map designs because I am not terribly smart and I sometimes have difficulty become oriented within those types of space. Invariably, I get used to it and learn to love them. This was just such a case, but when a new slew of architecture was added in the distance recently, it was enough for me to recognize which way was "up," so to speak. Now I love it.

Maybe hamarskald was right. One of the sooner-than-later maps is a treat we're calling Vandelay. Vandelay is structurally the simplest map we've ever made, yet the tools that we're providing with the help of the Forge give the map tons of potential. That potential could be used for devising clever contraptions, unique playspaces and when paired with Player Traits could become a test bed for new ideas from both Bungie and the playerbase.
