Yeah, but even then, they still seem that much more Non-Halo than the actual game's permutations to me. You're probably right, however.

Yeah that is definitely 100% correct.

Besides, if someone said "There should be apes in this game" during the Halo 1 time period, nobody would have said "SWEET. That's so halo-ish"

hmmm, i like the idea of concepting them, but they look poorly made with ms paint(with the exception of a few well drawn ones). I might make a few models with 3ds of some armor perms that i had in mind.

The ones linked, for the most part, are not poorly made.
They are also not made in MS Paint.

I'm not sure if you're looking at the same pictures, because saying those were done in Paint is quite the opposite of how they look, considering none of them were done in such a way...

Agreed, but there is sort of a "style" that each type (elite or spartan) seems to follow. A style that, for example, the "true demon" would not fit into. I think the Hayabusa is the most out of place, and that's probably why I don't like it =\

I agree that several are way too different, as the ones you explained, but as a generality, they majority of them aren't too abstract.

Let me rephrase... Many are well made, but I believe they can be created in a better way. (3ds max)

That would be far too exclusive. Requiring people to pay $400 to get armor? With DLC, anyone with any Live account (Silver is free) can purchase it. Before you bring up that people without Live can't get all permutations, that's quite different than requiring a whole new console. Plus, people without Live wouldn't gain a whole lot from having every permutation, since they likely aren't playing as much multiplayer.

So yeah, H3 console exclusive = ridiculous.

I'd hardly deem it ridiculous, especially if they gave it out eventually...Just a small bonus. But it won't happen regardless of what Tural and I think.

Not to mention how would they know if you have a Halo 3 360 anyway?

And people without Xbox live would not be able to unlock some of the sets anyway.

I just got an idea! They should do one of those things with the memory card kiosks. Everyone could have it, and they could make people go to their local game store. (but they should make the same stuff for download for lazy people like me >_>)

Yeah I disagree with exclusive Halo 3 Xbox Permutations also.

If anything I think extra permutations should come with extra map packs (like the Halo 2 map packs, except it comes with permutations). They would be available on Live for free later. Although in reality I think most of them would be free...

Or hell, they could always go the other route and create a trading card game where you can redeem codes obtained from the cards and get a permutation :P (joking)

No...? How would you get to be an Sergeant or an Officer without Xbox Live? Or the ranked FFA achievements?
