Not in development and never will be in development are two different statements. Bungie has never officially stated that this is the end of the entire Halo series.

They're just saying there won't be a Halo 4 like the next game won't be a sequel to Halo 3...this storyline is over. There's going to be Halo Wars and that project Peter Jackson's working on.

... i read that the halo series was officially over, and i believe i read that on bungie but i can't be sure

anyway i don't think the mc's story is over, why would they leave it open to be continued???

if the next game is about another char, then why show mc and cortana floating tword a planet?

1) No, you didn't. If you think you did, then you misunderstood. The official answer to "Is this the end of Halo?" has always been "It's the end of this story arc." They have never given an official statement saying Halo is over.

2) Who said they did? They could end it just as easily as they could continue it with Halo 3's story. You're putting your own interpretation in there and assuming it is the absolute correct intention.

3) Who says they have to be the main characters? They can be part of a story without the story being directly about them.

Absolutely, 100%, factually incorrect. Bungie states this is the end of Master Chief's story arc. They do not say this is the last Halo game.

bungie like teasing ppl. putting in things that doesn't make sense. they're trying to see what ppl think of what they put and teasing you. thinking too hard about things they do for fun. but i doubt it'll be a mc game like tural said. this is the final mc story arc game.

What? He's saying that if there is another Halo game, it won't be a sequel to Halo 3. I don't see what Halo 3's development has to do with his statement. So no, not like that.

It could very well be a sequel, they said the story of the Arc is over, and it is. They destroyed the arc. However there still are the rings floating around in space as is MC. It would not be lying if they continued the story from where they left off. And even if it followed along with the story of the rings or even the flood it still would hold true to what they said, no more Arc its destroyed so no matter what they do its true.

No, you misinterpreted that quote. The end of Master Chief's story arc is over. Master Chief's story is done. The object you are talking about is the Ark, and that is not, at all, what that quote is referring to.

What im saying is MCs story is not done.... hes floating around in space everyone thinks hes dead and hes waiting to be found.... Bungie did not say his story was over they said the story of the arc was over as to make people assured this wouldnt be like halo 2 where it ends in the middle of the story. It is more than just a possibility that halo 4 will be made. Its money, there a small group whos made 1 big game and they wont end it.

We all know that John 117 was the best Spartan ever, right?

Their are many questions in the universe that have not been explained in full detail. One of them being;

Why leave MC floating in space? or What happens next?

If bungie were smart, they wouldn't let this huge franchise made up of MC just die out. NOT knowing what happens next.

In my opinion, it wouldn't make any sense & it would leave a lot of hardcore Halo gamers like myself, very upset as to what happens to MC next. As far as what will be the next Halo/MC video game - bungie might not make it be the very next bungie project, but they WILL make another Halo/MC story video game awhile yet down the road, maybe a few years from now.

But we can just sit back & wait... I just hope they don't end it like this.......

What is Halo 3? Are you kidding? Only the most eagerly anticipated video game to hit stores this year, that's what. It'll bring the Halo series to an end, concluding the story of an iconic Earth marine known as "Master Chief" and his struggle against an alien coalition known as the Covenant.

yea cause yahoo games is a reliable source..... it is so obvious there will be another halo the ending makes it very clear then the fact that legendary shows u drifting towards a planet just hints at it even more. Why put that only on legendary? Because its a hint towards the next game thats why... We need someone who has read all the books that would surely clear things up as theyd probably know what the planet is and possibly even how the story continues. Bungie said this is the end of the story of the Arc if they were ending it they would have stated it was the end of the game entirely instead of being so vague about it.
