Um, they've discussed them on several occassions. There aren't big stories that say "Here's all the information about Guardian" and such. You can hear about them in the podcasts, read in the magazines, and so on. But no, there is no "official story" about most. You just have to keep up with the information sources. =x
You can find larger images of most on various sites such as Bungie.net or IGN. The images of "Gym Class" were frames I took from the ViDoc, the Guardian images were the only three to have been released, and they weren't very big.
