Yes, but it's not in H3. In the beta at least, it's not that the graphics are OMGz amazing, they just seem less rusty than in H2. It sort of has a cartoonish feel to it.

yea but the campaign graphics sure are sexy. I don't know how PS3 will keep up with Xbox 360's Halo 3

In 1999, yes. Since then there has been no mass-deletion of the source. It has always been built off of the previous, no matter how minuscule the scale of the change.

No, it was not.

It's using the standard Havok 4.5. The only tweaking done was in accordance with the Blam! API compatibility(obvious) issues.
