The number is the number of horizontal scanning lines. P stands for progressive I stands for interlaced. I am using the VGA adapter so its 1024 x 768 so its 768p. Now I use the 1080p setting though.

meanwhile i have noticed a difference.... if u use a plasma nade and throw it on the ground in front of u and ur a mc u dont die u just lose ur shield bu if ur a elite and u throw the nade in same spot u die because plasma nades are more effective against elites

i was an elite in xbox live for a while until some 1 told me that the spartans were better, but back then i didnt really realize a differnce, then me and my cousin wanted to see if it was true so we stood infront of ieach other and held down the smg trigger and the elite died first

There should be no special powers in multi-player. The only difference there should be is how you look.

Personally (in the Halo 2 Spartan v. Elite thing), I don't see a difference and there isn't, except for what Bungie has stated, that the hit detection on the head of the Elite was messed up. For Halo 3 it will most likely be fixed and the Spartan and Elite will be exactly the same.

PS. I prefer the elite.
