New Teaser Video. Halo 3 Campaign Extension?
Ok, I think that's a bit of an overkill on the evidence, guys.
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.
Woah, I just noticed the elevator. The origin of the bright flash of the slipspace jump is on the left, but in Halo 2, it was right by the Orbital Elevator. Continuity, man.

I'm sure a few people here have seen the CGI movie's named "Appleseed". And to me, this teaser seems an aweful lot like the animation style. Now, i'm in no way referencing these two things into one god awful connection. I'm just wondering why this teaser seems so "appleseed" ish when Halo3 already had amazing graphics. Maybe I just fail to see why they went with this type of look than what they used for the actual retail game.
Does anybody have a logical post as to why they may have focused on this type of graphic or CG? I was just sitting here reading this topic and found this question to intrigue me.

Maybe they're nowhere near done and that's what they're final product hopes to be like (not graphics, more of the whole cutscene part).kibito87 wrote:I'm sure a few people here have seen the CGI movie's named "Appleseed". Halo is a pretty game, but no longer the prettiest out there as it has been on shelfs for a year. To spark interest not only among rabid fans but also new potential customers, they may have gone with a CG approach to give it compelling "mass appeal" graphically.kibito87 wrote:Does anybody have a logical post as to why they may have focused on this type of graphic or CG? Once it comes out, it's still Halo so it won't need to sell on graphics alone, but until then a large portion of the buzz among ... pedestrian gamers ... will be about how pretty it is in the teaser. That is, sadly, what will keep their interest in the new campaign until solid story and gameplay information gets out.

The cameras are technically different, whether it be on purpose or not, they are shot from different angles, which would lead me to believe they are two different cameras. However, I suggested that it was a timestamp error, but Veegie told me no. I still think the last pod is, in fact, falling after the others, and that the timestamp is not a reliable indicator.

And there's smoke and debris around. I don't see how it can be justified that it's earlier, I was just listening to Veegie.
Veegie: That is the last pod that you see in the video
Veegie: but due to the time stamp, it shows that pod came in by itself 5 minutes before all of the others
-- Later --
Tural: Which pod drops 5 minutes before?
Veegie: The last one.
Veegie: In Impact.png
Tural: Interesting.
Tural: It shatters the lens, but that's the same camera that shows the large amount dropping a few minutes later
Tural: Internal clock messed up by slipspace jump?
Veegie: No.
Veegie: Slipspace jump didn't happen until they hit the atmosphere when the others entered
Veegie: after a bit
Tural: But if the last pod came earlier, and shattered the glass on the camera, how is the same camera taking pictures later, without the shattered glass?
Veegie: It's not the same exact camera
Veegie: They're not that literal
