isn't Ensemble Studios making a Halo Wars game which is based on the events before Halo 1?

Yes, but that's irrelevant to the discussion.

It's definitely not a movie, and it won't be called Halo 4, seeing as it takes place before Halo 1.

In a sense, yes, there will be a halo movie, but not completely.
Peter Jackson(Yes, the Peter Jackson) is working with bungie to create a semi-interactive movie called Halo: The Chronicles. One makes choices and watches the result unfold. I would give it a thumbs down.

im guessing that they are gonna make another game including masterchief but its not gonna be called halo. It will probably have something to do with that planet at the end.

well i think there is gona be a halo 4 cause on legendary mode story at the end it showed master chief going to sleep untill someone discovers him.

In the September 20 Bungie Podcast, Joseph Staten accidentally confirmed that it is being codenamed "Chronicles".

You don't accidentally leave something in a podcast that goes through audio editing.

Bungie Studios has stressed that Nyulund is given artistic freedom, as the games aren't held to facts/ideas conceptualized in the novels. Though rampancy has been touched on before in Bungie's games.

There will be at least one more halo game made by bungie. It was part of the agreement made with bungie about leaving microsoft. Whether or not it will be "Halo 4" is all that really remains as speculation.

There most likely will be two games added to the Halo series. One, being Halo wars. Regardless that it is Real Time Strategy, it still is part of the series.
And Halo: Chronicles, which I'm not 100% certain about it.

That isn't by Bungie, and it isn't relevant to the numerical series of games, which is what this thread is asking about.

ok the next halo game is optional for budgie.....
they were either going to make it like up there there old game ... i forget the name or...
its gonna be master chief landing on the forrunner planet... there having a civil war and hes gonna do something ...
so making a sequel for them is basically option either way the ending will be explained in time

and I think if anything halo 4 will probably contain events that might lead to the beginning of the marathon series

im sure there willl be another spartain game, proly not about halo because masterchief is the only spartain who has been on the halo's but they could easily make a FPS using another spartain.

A Halo game in the Marathon time would kick ass. Basically a significantly re-done marathon. I'm just tired of the time period that the first 3 were in, it's been played out and I'd be disappointed if it continued like that, IF there is another game.

I was watching spikes thing where they counted down the release of halo 3 and they where talking to some of the creators and they said that they are working on halo Chronicles.

I think I posted something on this awhile ago.
