How did the Chief get Mark VI armor?

Post by Jordan »

Just curious. Wasn't he in the air at the end of h2, then when he landed he was already wearing the new armor? I know this isn't some sort of revelation, I was just wondering if anyone had the explanation.

Mark VI is gained at the start of Halo 2.
Halo 3 uses a modified Mark VI set. It has minor alterations that have not been addressed. If it is, it will be in a book or in the comics (Comics take place between Halo 2 and Halo 3 events).

They aren't all out yet, hence my future tense when I said that exact thing.

well it is still the Mark VI armour, the slight alterations may have just been made to give the chief a little bit of a new appearance without elaborating on how it happened. of course, I could be wrong.

I've always thought it was just a change they made because they wanted to.

Not everything has to be part of the story line..

In case you havent noticed, nothing happened between the games. "You mind telling me what you'redoin on that ship? - Sir... Finishing this fight" *jumps out of the forunner ship only to have his armor locked up* In between the " n * is H2 - H3. They happened right next to eachother. There is no room for a comic.

Its called Halo:uprising, so apparently there is room for a comic. It takes place on the forerunner ship and in the lives of civilians on earth

No. If you're going to post, at least make a conscious effort to not be blatantly ignorant and make yourself look like a fool. You could not be more wrong, in any way.
The Eisner Award-winning team of superscribe Brian Michael Bendis and artist extraordinaire Alex Maleev unleash an epic story of mankind's struggle against the alien threat of the Covenant. Picking up from the conclusion of blockbuster video game Halo 2, the must-read issue reveals how the Master Chief, while onboard a hostile ship headed towards Earth, is battling against Covenant forces! Intertwined with Master Chief's interstellar one-man-war is the saga of a great American city's rebellion and downfall, two disparate lives' collision and shared fate, and the Convenant's hunt for an ancient relic of untold power and value. With hope dwindling and the fate of humanity hanging by a thread, is there any chance for a future? Read this debut issue to start the journey into the Halo universe!

There is not some super-short time period!

Jesus Christ. He does not jump right after Halo 2. The time period is not specified. What do you not understand about this? Your assumption is blatantly wrong, and you're being so ignorant as to ignore evidence shoved in your face that contradicts it.

To be perfectly honest, nobody asked you. It was stated, as a fact, what the comic addressed. You jumped in with false information, information you made up, with no facts at all, and claimed the opposition was wrong. Don't go out of your way to cause an argument when you don't bother to check anything. Nobody wants to hear your unfounded claims.

Tural is correct, you are being amazingly ignorant, which is why I even posted (more of an observer then a poster too be honest and I was just browsing on a break from work). It would only take a couple clicks of your keyboard to google Halo:Uprising. But instead you stand by your unsupported assumptions.

As for the armor change(gloves and added details), I would think it was just for small cosmetic changes, better design choice, something 'fresh'. But the comics may or may not answer that question, with the delays it will be some time before we know for sure.

So, you're saying that Johnson and the Arbiter came back from Halo, the Elites made new vehicles (green Phantoms), and Elites officially became allies with the humans, all in 1 minute? I think there's something wrong in that.

You leave in the ship end of halo 2. Halo 3, you land dropping out of the ship.
Explain to me how his armor changes.

Holy freaking crap. Did you not even dare to glance at the rest of the topic?

THE TIME PERIOD BETWEEN GAMES IS NOT SPECIFIED. IT IS NOT AN EXTREMELY SHORT TIME PERIOD. THERE IS A COMIC BOOK IN BETWEEN THE GAMES. THE ELITES ALLIED THE HUMANS, AND JOHNSON AND THE ARBITER LEFT HALO. THESE EVENTS TAKE TIME.

Jesus Christ.

That I understand, but during this time unless the comics/books (which aren't out) say the chief left the ship got armor and went back it doesn't make any sense to me.

Apparently we can't settle this without arguing, so I'm just going to kill this topic here.

Chief has Mark VI armor at the end of Halo 2, the time period between 2 and 3 isn't specified, any questions that are left unanswered will hopefully be answered by the comic series. k? k.
