i dont quite get how that scene could be 200 years later, like ppl have said its like 7 years for cortanas life span, unless going half thru the portal and what not at the end somehow made a space time rip and sent them unknowingly 200 years into the future lol, but yea i was just speculating my opinion, none of its fact.

I meant the Legendary scene. The Cortana and Chief scene is most likely occurring within the day of the rest of the ending. The scene showing there ship drifting could be after any period of time, it's never stated. Plus, when they zoom out and show the ship at first, I don't remember seeing that nebula near it.

Hmm I see what ur gettin at. Didnt even think of that. It could indeed be years later right before MC gets woken up.

They left it too open, should have ended with a big screen that says Halo 4 coming fall 2009 lol

well, idk if you look at all the halo's thus far there are lots of signs that are relating to marathon, idk if there just easter eggs for people who have played or know what marathon is about but all i can say is that the next game will have to be A. an inbetween game linking halo to marathon, or B. the MC becoming the main character of a totally new and way better looking Marathon. I find it really interesting that Bungie has the ability to incorporate so much from there old games into the new ones and that some of them are clues to either, the next halo, or marathon.

I'd go with either: They've ended it, but left it open for people to figure out that it IS the same universe as Marathon, or, that it just is the end, and that's it. Not every ending of everything has to have complete closure.
