in the commercial trailer he has a little device and when he throws it on the floor a little shield pops up around him so mb thats what it does

Because the shield grenade would not counted as a standard grenade type. Being able to hold multiple shield grenades would be unbalanced. You could just use them whenever, pick them up from people, never get hurt in a game. It only makes sense for it to be a one-time-use thing.

Well, I remember reading an update and they said that the Shield device isn't or doesn't necessarily have to be a grenade, so it may be a possibility for the X button... I actually think that it was in a Q&A Session, if I can dig up a link i'll post it up.

Doubtful. There isn't really any need for it.

The Shield Device remains possible, but not probable, imo.

It's the most probable thing that's been suggested, and the only one that would make sense and be balanced. If it isn't that, explain to me how the shield device would work in gameplay. It wouldn't be balanced at all if it were a standard grenade type.

1) It has not yet been released how it would work, if it's included at all. Would it make you invincible for a period of time? How long does the bubble last? Will it move with you if you move? If it isn't invincible, how much damage can it sustain? If you teamates stand right next to you, can they be contained in the shield as well?

Until at least some of these questions are answered, the Shield Device remains a toss up, in my opinion. There are too many variables as of now. Once more information is released, I will give you a defenite answer. Until then, this is all speculation and opinion, so please don't try to prove me wrong, as i'm not trying to do that to you Tural. I'm stating my opinion, and that's all.

2) I know it's old, but I still think it's the best theory EVAR.
