Marathon was the precursor to Halo. Mb that has somethign to do with it?

Marathon was Bungie's first video game, so they threw in some easter eggs as a tribute.

You can find it anywhere; it's on the side of the Pillar of Autumn, it's the background of the Halo logo, the front of 343 Guilty Spark outlines it, and it's on one of Captain Keyes' badges. The name "SPNKR" even came from Marathon. And now the logo is on the Halo 3 assault rifle.

Ah ok, I thought it meant something.

Oh and Captain Keys also has one on his smoking pipe, I noticed that yesterday :)

okay... he sure did. but the picture was not as clear. i was just linking to another image that showed it better. not something for you to try to contradict.
