Halo 2 I liked... What I was being sarcastic about was the whole grunt thing in MP. I personally think that's a very ridiculous idea...

Oh yeah the first day the trailer came out i noticed at the start when mc is walking down the street there is a street sign on it with a grunt on the sign.

You know, I have always thought that too. But it will be interesting to see how Bungie pulls everything together.

One of my main thoughts is how Cortana is going to get back to the MC.
Sadly, I think they may have her die. In the books--yes, sadly I have read them all...--an AI can "think itself to death" and since she has been buddy-buddy with Gravemind this entire time and has been learning, I think it a real possiblility that she dies.

I don't want Cortana to die. She rules.

And, by the way, MC kills Dumbledore.

You can play as the grunt in multiplayer in halo 2.

It is still POSSIBLE. Even if he doesnt have a modded xbox, Action replay.

Action Replay is still considered modding. You mod the content to your liking.

Kirk is talking about:
1) Turning on the Xbox.
2) Putting in Halo 2.
3) Being able to choose a Grunt.

You can select a grunt in halo 2 to play as, just as you described.

Not that you can't use the Grunt in Halo 2 MultiPlayer.

You can not choose to play as a Grunt without modding.

Thats because 1: They were on Delta Halo with a ship that had some newer technology and 2: They weren't near Earth, to get the old school AR, now he is and like the MC I prefer the old one to the new one in some situations, I think they should still have both, oh man that would be so cool in MP.
