Is it against halomods' rules to modify Multiplayer Maps?

I haven't seen anything solid against modding multiplayer maps. I think the main concern in it is people using the mods online for cheating, so it's just not really a practiced thing.

That's what I thought too. So releasing MP mods wouldn't get anyone banned, but people might give those dirty looks.

K, thanks JK

Depends on what the multiplayer mod contains, content wise.

I'm sure tural is going to come here and teach us a lesson about why we don't mod and release MP maps.

Halo 2 XBOX LIVE stuffed up the minute people played multilayer online maps.

There hasent been many MP mods even made because when MOST people "mod" the shared.map it doesent load and brings you back to the mainmenu.

RealTime Edits are diffrent but as of now only a select few can modify major parts of the virtual .map

All of the tags are external and no one has found way to make them internal. Bungie did that to keep cheaters offline.

Ahhhh okay, I see the problem then.

Damn. That kinda sucks. Does anyone know why they might not be editable.

That is why, after they had the whole scandal with versions 1.0-1.4 with Halo 2 Xbox (1.3/4 letting banned accounts back, not sure which one) They wanted to keep cheaters OUT!

Most of the stuff iv seen is made for glitched games. I'v not seen any in real matches but the only thing stopping them is the creator of those trainers.
Modding MP maps (realtime) isnt that hard but for those who just want to cheat in a real match and dont have a clue how to mod MP, its better to keep them in glitched.
