Halo 2 Vista Is my computer good enough then last time.
I had Halo 2 Vista for long time about a few months when It came out. I had a performance issue. i started out with 466 ram and everything else is the same. I had low Frame rates. then i got 1 gb. so had total of 1gb (two 512 mb ram)
Still low performance.
Now i have 2gb. I haven't played or installed the game when i had that. Will the game run better than before?
SPECS
Windows Vista 32 bit Home basic
2gb RAM
1.80ghz rated and 3.80 ghz and is a 64 bit processor
ATI Xpress Series X300
45.5 gigs main hdd
LCD 15 or something idk.
Still low performance.

That's probably your biggest problem. Halo 2 Vista needs an ATI X700 or a NVIDIA 6100. The game will probably run better then before since you have more RAM, but it would be a lot better if you got a new graphics card.HaloEliteModder wrote:ATI Xpress Series X300

Plank, your processor is equal to 3.2 -.- 2 Cores is like 2 processors.
I figured I shouldn't start a new topic for this. Here is my setup:
Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.5 Ghz FSB 800mhz
2Gb DDR2 667Mhz
NVidia 7600GT Fatal1ty Edition Rev. 2 (650Mhz GPU, 256Mb Memory)
ECS Motherboard (Nothing Special)
120Gb 5400RPM IDE Samsung Drive
I get about 10 frames or less. BRAND NEW installation of Vista, Video Drivers, and H2V. My settings are on "Low" and no AA. It is ridiculous that I get that low of a preformance. I can play Crysis better than this game. I hope someone can help me out. Also, the settings. Is it possible to get more complicated settings ? I mean, High Medium Low just.. Isn't exactly a great settings menu. I would like to see AS, Texture, Model, Shaders, Shadows, HDR, Etc.

If you never want to worry about graphics issues for any game ever again, look up ATX Cross Fire. I have it and I can run 3 games at the same time with little to know lag. With 2gigs of ram, you will have a pretty sweet gaming comp

Shut up. They are the same damn technology. You are just saying that because you are a NVidia fanboy.ares-erus wrote:or you could buy a Nvidia 9600GT.grimdoomer wrote:If you never want to worry about graphics issues for any game ever again, look up ATX Cross Fire.
Nvidia SLI if you want to be future proof for a few years.
