H2V - H2X conversions?

I was just looking around the internet for some stuff about Halo 2 Vista, and it looks like there's a good few kick ass new maps available. Would it be possible to mod a do a conversion for a Halo 2 Vista map to Halo 2 Xbox? Considering 1: I don't have enough money to buy a Vista PC 2: My Windows XP system isn't powerful enough to run even H1 PC, so I wouldn't be able to do that little trick where you play H2V on XP, and 3: I know H2-H1 and H1-H2 is possible, so most likely, this is possible, as well =P

I know it was being worked on. I think the people doing it kind of stopped or put it on hold for awhile. Now, what you speak of for H1-H2 conversions is HaloCE only at the moment. I don't believe anyone has any H2-H1 conversions working yet. I also don't believe anyone has done H1-H2 yet. Just some models were injected into Halo2 xbox.

Well, as far as H2 Xbox - H1 Xbox goes, I have seen conversions. I'm not so sure about H1 Xbox - H2 Xbox, though, but I'm pretty sure that's been done before in the lengthy time Halo 1 and 2 have been out for the Xbox. If anyone finds anything about Halo 2 Vista maps being playable on Xbox or anything like that, please tell me where you found the information. Especially if there's a download or something lol I like the new maps for Halo 3, as well, but unfortunately, I have neither an Xbox 360 or Halo 3. Or Xbox Live for that matter.

May I see links to these please? The only one I can think of is Founation...which i've done before. If anything, only privately would Halo1 bsp's be integrated into Halo2...but I haven't seen them.

I don't remember exactly how or where I found them, but there's a map pack for Halo 1 that contains the Halo 1 version of Ascension. I've also seen Sanctuary and Foundation. Oh yes, and Zanzibar. Though I'm not sure if the Sanctuary and Zanzibar ones were for H1X.

It was his model. He injected it as a model, and made fake collision out of machs. Its not custom BSP nor a conversion.

I wish he'd have released some mods like that, I don't care if they're custom sbsp, custom map is good enough for me, it'd just be cool to play h1 like maps in h2.

acsension was done but had a bsp problem. sanctuary was also done but had problems. foundation was the only map i did that didnt have a bsp problem. zanzibar had a few bsp wrongs. basically, almost all maps have probs.

Has it occurred that all of these problems are easily fixed ... Just pull the models into max and edit accordingly.

I never would have thought of that... :roll: I don't have much experience in max so it would be completely worthless to even try for me atleast. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm working on learning to model...I just don't have the knowledge to do something like that yet.
