Alright , if possible im gonna try to make these questions understandable.
-Whats the full structure format for making a map. ex. models , bitmaps , shader...etc i want to know like specific locations of where to save different things.
- when you projectile swap do you save to the same folder like sayi modify the smg do i save it under a different name but to the same folder.
- In custom game can i play with modded weapons or is that a ban from XBL
- More questions but not enough time to continue... i will finish this later but try to answer the other ones first .
Thanks
Edit - more questions
- looking fora tutorial for an inside map
- looking for a tutorial for make bases / placing bases in an outside map

well I can only answer a few of these.
- In custom game can i play with modded weapons or is that a ban from XBL
Once you mod your xbox, the eemprom Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory is altered, and when you go into matchmaking, this gets scanned and within approximately 9 hours you will get banned. Im not too sure what it is but i think it is either sytem files on the C: or some kinda flash memory. BTW be very careful when mentioning XBL. I think you have already crossed the line.

I dont think anyone has done this properly in halo 2 yet, it requires reconstructing the SBSP and its collision which is hard as rock. you can build a mach or scnr into your map with enitity to make some kinda base though.

you dont have to save anything to do proj swaps just change the dependancys around.
-Whats the full structure format for making a map.
SBSP (structural binary separation plane) this tag is the master of all tags

This is Halo 2 VISTA, not Halo 2 XBOX
None of those things (entity, reconstructing bsps) are not close enough to be done yet, due to the lack of tools.
Next time look at the top of the post Mr.

Oh you wanna know the directory your max and ass files go into before compiling? simple
data/scenarios/multi/map's name/structure/ and the max file and .ass file have to be the same name as your "map's name" folder.
Is that what you were asking?
The shaders and bitmaps go other places. You just have to apply them in max.

no thats all i really wanted to know i was just a little confused i was trying to expand my knowledge os i could make a better map.
As i saw in one of your maps it was dark in someprts and light in others . it was an outside map i was wondering . say on headlong in H2 you know how over where the banshee and ghost spans its darker then say on top of the broken hish way piece. is it dar k b/c of the building or is there a way to darken areas in a map and such like make an area dark and what not like the shadow of a building
I guess what im trying to say is if i have a building in the middle of my map how do i make a shadow come down on the ground by the building...

I think what you're referring to is a lightmap. As of now, there's no way to change a lightmap.
However, you can edit it's colour/brightness ect. And also remove it completely.

Along the cliffs theres shadows and under the bridge is there a way to do this? in the first picture.

I didnt put the shadows there. Infact i wish i could make the map have a 12.00 noon sun. It just happens when lighting.

alright i was just curious how it was dark under the bridge...... in that case... Judging by what you said there isnt a way to change the color of the sky . if so is there a way i could make like dark red sky ......
