fixing halo 2 editing kit

Please help me. Here is my problem: My computer said that the editing kit was corrupt and said that i should fix it. So I fixed it and then it just disappeared so when i tried to reinstall it but my disk would just go to the game. If any one knows how to fix this please tell me because then i can start making maps again.

1.You could try reinstalling the game completely.
2. Explore the disc and find the necessary files you need.
3. Try Windows search function to find the file that dissapeared.
One of those suggestions is bound to work.

Like i said earlier it is completely gone so i have to reinstall it. For some reason my disk drive won't let me explore the disk so i uninstalled the game completely and now it won't open the installer. so now i can't even play halo 2 pc. Please help me!!!

Wipe your disc off. After putting it in right mouse click, explore.
