HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

well to start off i've made some maps and played on them. but lately i re-installed my whole computer and that was around the time the new patch came out. i just tryed playing on the same custom maps i played on before and about 1/3 of dont work including mine. even that extreme climb map dont show up in halo custom maps. i'm stumped.

if i cant play my custom games i'm gonna throw this game away. is there a fix?

i havent found one yet. i feel you about throwin the game away! that pisses me off

maybe you have to meet all criteria/gametype requirements? i'm gonna try that.

update - nope, still dosent work, i spent alot of money in programs and now i cant use them. i'm so ticked off.
how come 8 custom maps still work? whats differant about those maps?

another update, i figured it out. luckily i saved my halo 2 game folder in a rar just incase. all i did was delete all the stuff in there, replace it with old and replace it with the updated version again. for some reason it worked. i dont know why but it did. but nobody can join. damn it.

No, i'm running the updated version, i swapped all the updated files back in my halo directory, thats why i said i dont know why i could see the map afterwards. and when i delete the map and then recompile it i couldnt see it again unless i do the same thing again. HUH. but yeah i know thats why nobody else could play it. because their halo game couldnt read the map.

do you think they intended for that to happen,? not being able to play custom maps i mean..

why would hg with out even announcing it? and if it was meant to happen, why would the maps show up when you recompile them?

they are not showin up either way for me. ill recompile another map and let you kno bro. im just as p.o'd as you.

If you want to be able to play them on the updated version i can tell you how but nobody else can join. just for personal use i guess. but you can still join servers.

yea pm me, kuz i need to test a few maps. do you think this will ever be fixed?

a tip more people will help with a problem because people dislike proglems if you know what i mean

well i'm sure more people are having this proglem. well anyone who is making maps.

Re-export your maps and re-compile.

Also, just because your first post was written in a fit of rage doesn't mean that problem has to be misspelled over and over again.

There is no word in the english language "proglem", so please, either get a dictionary or start spelling the word right.

Johnny I don't know who you think you are, but I've been seeing a lot of "bossy", "I'm better than everyone else" attitudes coming from you.

If you want help with your problem, then be calm about it, like the other guy said, just recompile it.

i'm sorry if i'm acting mad. and i'm by no means a know it all. i need help alot. i'm just kinda angry about the update, and i apologise for acting that way if i was and for misspelling.
anyways i did try recompiling and packaging again. they still dont show up in-game.
somebody wanna check and see if you can start a game on the extreme climb map. i dont see that one ingame anymore like i said.
the only way i can see my map ingame is to start game with old exe's and then update and then start the game then it works. but nobody else can join.
