They are worried that people will use the map shots to show off pornography or other images, which, in fact, is dumb because all of the players who bought and play the game are supposed to be 18. Even if they aren't, when booting up H2V there is a 10 second long message specifically stating that game play/experience may change online. Really, despite their warnings, they are trying to prevent legal trouble.

NO.

Bungie DID NOT MAKE THIS PORT.

Hired Gun made this port, so they are the ones who update the game.

Complain to them, not Bungie.

Reguardless who did it its crap. i know some other features are much better but not being able to make playable custom maps kills it for me. thats half the reason why i play halo 2.

If you start halo with the original exe files, close it down and then open it again with the updated exe files you can play your map, but i dont think anyone else can join. maybe you can run them on a dedicated server though. i'm gonna try.

its an auto update.
