what do you have for a computer/internet connection? the sound problem might be because of your sound card or just a setting, not having servers to play on might be because of your internet connection, i couldnt tell unless i looked at it, it could be a hundered other things. but you sign into xbox live when you first start up the game.. p.s. sometimes it takes a minute for me to see servers when i first start the game and i have an awsome internet connection.

no, your not supposed to talk about running a vista based game on unsuported operating systems.. if your running it on an older operating system with a crack thats your problem.. now that i think of it halo2v's online gaming isnt suppoled to work on xp, maybe thats your problem..

You need a gold membership to create and host servers.

Yeah, in that case, we cant really talk about it.

Although i am perfectly aware that you are not supposed to talk about this but...
If you are using a differnt operating sysatem than what the game was sold to be used with then there is your problem no if's but's or what if's That is your trouble.

Yeah, Vista isn't really that bad. I'm not saying this to be mean/flame anyone , but if you are able to upgrade to Vista and you try to run OS emulations to play stuff, its pretty cocky on your part. This is Halo 2
Vista. Not Halo 2 XP. If you are able to run emulators on XP to play, it can defently run vista.

Will you be sued/arrested? Most likely not. Can you get banned from Xbox LIVE? Maybe.

exactly. plus people like this dude know this site dosent like it and try to bend the truth so they dont exactly say their running ##.. cant this site define the people running old operating systems and not letting them in this thread? there are many forums that allow that kind of thing..
i'm really getting sick of this kind of topic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
in my opinion vista isn't just a good operating system its the best.. very contrivertial statement but i'll go down with that "ship"..

Well, what can you really say? They expiriance problems through emlulation. That means that Microsoft can't help them, so they come here. With any normal Xbox LIVE connection, you'd be able to do everything.

What the hell are you guys talking about. Nowhere in this thread has wanksta said that he is using XP or VISTA. Let's not try to assume that he is using XP. Also that has nothing to do with this thread. Vista has it's problems and that's fine if people don't want to upgrade.
The Sound problem might be from old audio drivers. Download driver detective to check if it is old.

It may be your card as well. I would upgrade your sound drivers like alby spoke about and see if that fixes the sound. Another possibly solution is memory. I can't say this for a fact, but I had an older computer that if too much memory was being used (like from games), the sound would completely shut down (and media would even stop playing) until I got my memory down a lot lower.

he did not defend himself,, and from what he said about not caring about online gaming he just wanted to host a network game after i asked him if he was using xp.. honestly.. who wouldn't want to play halo online??? thats why i think he is/was, but it dosn't concern me atall, if he isnt, i'm sorry.
and vista does have something to do with this thread if its the solution to the problem...
