3ds Max 7. Where can I get it?

Ok, Autodesk no longer sells 3ds Max 7, and I can only get 3ds Max 9, which I don't want. My trial version of 7 recently ended, and I can't find anywhere to buy the software.

I've checked most of the major retailers, and they only sell the "Concept and Design" books regarding it. I'm sure I could find it on Ebay with some hard searching.

Nextly, the cheap and easily solution would be just to reinstall the program and get the 30-day trial again, but it saves some file somewhere that tells the installer what day you are on. I don't know if this is an AppData .TMP file, and I don't want to delete any .TMP files since amature programers sometime reference those and have program data in them, and they all have weird names to boot too.

If someone could provide me some info, especially on the "re-install method", I'd heavily appreciate it.

If you reinstall 3dsmax's trial it will say your 30 days are up. I am not sure if you'll find it on E-Bay. But good luck searching!

Why wouldn't you want 3ds Max 9? It's much better than 3ds Max 7 or 8. You can buy it on discount for $380 at http://www.academicsuperstore.com.

I have the $380 for the 3ds max 9, I'm just not willing to spend that much on a product I'm not used to.

The reason I want 7 or 8 is becuase I like the interface and the fact that I heard that the current Exporter for 3ds max 9 had a couple of bugs in it.

But, if I have to, I'll look at 3ds max 9.

Well, 3ds Max 9 isn't much different then the previous versions. The UI is still the same.

If you don't know how to use 3ds Max 9, it comes with tutorials when you start it up.

Well, thanks for the information. I'm sure of the fact that the tutorial version saves some temporary file in the AppData folder that tells it how many days remain, but I'll look into 3ds max 9.

I've posted this at least twice.

I was already aware of that script.
