a dumb question...im sorry

ok, i downloaded some maps. the rar had a data dir as well. i put maps and data dir in my halo2/maps dir. i went to custom maps and nothing. i did this wrong huh?what do i do?

You have to put it in halo 2 map editor\maps.

OK, IT STILL ISNT UNDER THE CUSTOM MAPS IN MAP SELECT VIA HALO2. WHERE DO I GO NOW TO LAUNCH THESE MAPS? WHICH PROGRAM DO I USE? (sorry bout caps)

Instead of apologizeing for the caps....wouldn't it make more sense to just not have caps on? :?

I'm not really sure of what you were asking, but I think you want to find your custom maps or something... Your grammer is... well... non existant...


anyhow... the help file that comes with the editing kit will take care of all these "dumb questions" you may have.
H2V help file wrote:Note: When you package a level, it creates the .map file in your working folder, in a folder called maps. If the Copy to Custom Maps Folder When Complete check box is selected, that map file will automatically be copied into your My Games\Halo 2\Maps folder for you. You need to do this to load the custom map, but if you want to avoid overwriting a playable level with a new version, simply unselect the check box.
