Bitmap Problems...H2g is annoying(edited)

Ok this is frustrating me...I made a ground bitmap for my bsp, and i compiled the bitmap everything was cool, i can open the the bitm in guerilla thats fine, but when i click new shader and i try to open the bitm for the shader template, its not there in the open file dialog, wut am i doing wrong?

but to my knowledge 512/4=128 which means it is a multiple of 4, tool error? or user error?

i cant help you but mine is being gay like dat to and everytime i try to add a new 1 it gives me that rainbow bitmap thing

ya the rainbow thing is because of not haveing a shader which i what im trying to create but its being gay

edit: nm i figured it out, u can only use shader templates for that and u put you bitmap under base map this can be locked or w/e the moderator should choose.
