Which modelling apps can we use?

Figured I would start a post with the big question..... which 3d modelling apps will be supported? Obviously it is safe to assume that 3dsmax will be supported since CE supported it. But can we use cheaper alternative software? For instance, I am in the middle of constructing certain objects and scenary using Gmax, which is not compatable with 3ds for some strange reason. I would hate to see other people begin awesome maps on an app that isn't supported. If anyone knows list them here. Maybe we can get it stickied if enough apps are shown compatable?

I am guessing that Maya will be supported. I am almost positive.

I don't know that they will natively support many programs, but I'm sure there will be user-created ways to do it, as there were with CE. I believe TheGhost made a maxscript for exporting JMS files which could be used with Gmax, hopefully there will be some things such as that.
If none of that made sense, it's because I've never done CE mapping.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I thought I read somewhere that you could make your own custom exportation scripts for any modeling program and it would export and be used in tool etc.
