Why the heck did you lock my last thread? I didn't break any rules. I didn't see another thread like this one in this forum. And when i said "another thread like this one" i was refering to all the speculation before halo 2 on xbox came out. At least tell me why you locked it...

Anyway when they made haloPC they put a whole bunch of new stuff in it to increase gameplay fun, so why wouldn't they do it for halo2PC? Things i'm hopeing for are,(in MP)

The rare seen plasma cannon from SP

Specture used as much as the warthog in MP

Flamethrower(there was supposed to be one but they couldn't put in "in game" in time.)

A GOOD halo map making kit, put not to user friendly or about a 1,000 crap maps would be released.

The outdoor maps from haloPC, mostly infinity, ice fields, and sidewinder....and timberland.....ahhh heck with it! All of the outdoor maps from haloPC.

The pistol reborn. Don't get me wrong here i still want the magnum to be in game, i just want the pistol too. They can just make some lameo excuse to make the pistol un-dule-wiledable. (no idea how to spell that).

Rocket hog, it was **** not haveing it in halo2.

The ATV, there aren't enough human vehicles.

I really didn't like people playing as eletes in halo2, but just as we are talking crazy here, let the people be the flood too! And grunt...

Yah i think that would be a HUGE ungrade for halo 2, bungie invented co-op and now they would be the first ones to put it on live! I don't think it would be to laggy. One more thing, i hated matchmakeing i like going through a list of servers better.

I would like to see every CURRENT, NON-VITAL online feature removed from Halo 2. Ranking and matchmaking suck; good theory on paper, but it's too flawed. All stat tracking does is cause idiots to brag about the size of their e-penis.

I would like to see the same map checksum generator as in Halo CE. Even if the map has one byte different in it than the server when it goes to load, it rejects the connection. If they refuse to put that in for any reason, I will refuse to buy Halo 2 PC. Why buy the same game on a platform that allows you to cheat-mod it twice as easy?

And online co-op would be nice, or maybe just netcode that can synchronize AI, devices, and scenery and stuff. If they could keep everything server-side, but not have shot leading issues, that would be an added bonus. As much as I love H2's new netcode, the client sided stuff would allow anyone who mods the game (IF the game comes with an SDK) to be able to easily cheat.

Another cool feature would be in-game map downloading (given the game is moddable), but not from the server hosting the game, a la Half-Life or Unreal. Maybe fileservers could host the files, like Halomaps.org, and there's a little text file you can add map download servers to in the root of the Halo 2 install folder. This way, maps that are meant to be released to the general public are downloadable no problem, but maps that are still works-in-progress can be closed betas.
