Will you be able to still play halo combat evovled on windows vista or just Halo 2? Srry if this was a noob question >_< plz dont flame lol

Guessing that youll be able to play halo otherwise ms is jsut dumb for not allowing old games like on all of they're other OS's

Well, you know how Windows XP has the compatibility options for executables for 95, 98, 2000 and such? - WELL, they should have the same for Vista so you can set the compatibility mode for each games/software to Windows XP until the games are upped for Vista...someone out there besides me could've thought of that, and I sure hope that Gates also figured that out...

I have the windows vista beta and yes there is a windows xp under the compatibility options and I have had to do that to almost every program I have for it to work.

wow so microsoft really redid there coding for Windows Vista if alot of win 95 - xp apps cant run wihtout the compatibility modes O.o
and basicly the only time i use compatablity mode in win xp is when a programs isntaller will only run if u have liek win 98 or something like that

Actually, some games, like quake, need you to donwngrade your PC if it has REALLY good processor, cpu, graphics etc...
So i can only play it on my laptop
Or i havent tried anyways so mabey not even laptop.

But anyways, i cant play doom on my laptop or computer, i need to downgrade to play it, i know everything always works on the next OS and if not then you emulate, but anyways its a matter of hardware, not software (In this case)

people having higher specs is why they made Doom ports like skulltag and Jdoom
