a year after halo 2 for pc is out it wont be considered a failure because about 80% of people who have PC's will have upgraded to Vista by then and Halo 2 will just keep getting bigger until Halo 3 that is

you know, wehn Vista comes out, other games will be upgraded to support Vista, like some games were upped for XP

Yea ur forgetting fourn that the os isnt just for halo2 its a new os becuase microsoft has something more to offer. Bungie is just utilizing this new os so eventually ull get it and then you get halo2 just to see what tthe big deal is about and well alll probably realize that its way better for pc lol.

yeah halo 2pc isnt gonna be the only game out there to be available for vista, so if you get vista just for halo2 pc, that is stupid, but if halo2 pc is one of the reasons you're getting vista, then thats different

EDIT: and also you realize that people use pcs for other things besides gaming...

I'm definetely going to get Halo2PC, I don't think it'll be a failure.

I do have an Xbox and Halo 2, and (back in the Xbox days) I played it at least 1 hour a day. I'm getting Halo 2 PC because:

1. It has a map editor (w00t!)
2. I'm soo much better a PC modding than Xbox modding.
3. There will be some very sweet H2PC mods out there.

how can you call a game a failure when its not even out yet?
fourn443 all i see you posting in this forum is how much h2pc is bad becuase of it being only for vista, well guess what microsoft can make it for any operating system they want and thier NOT forcing you to buy it or vista.

saying microsoft is greedy for wanting money is crazy becuase thats the whole point of businesses. [/rant]

I never liked Halo 2 in the first place. I'm not going to get Halo 2 PC, and I doubt that Bungie will sell as much games as they hope.

Well, its all marketing. They released Halo for xbox and pc so all gamers could get a chance to get hooked on it. When Halo 2 came out, pc gamers were disapointed, but many bought an xbox for $185(tax) and the game for $50. If they released it for XP, they would only make $50. But with the xbox they make more. But its going to be for vista, wich will cost $200 for an OS upgrade, or $300 new. So either way, they win.

I plan to get vista though, not for Halo 2(I already have xbox and Modchip), but rather for vista itself. Halo 2 is just an added bonus. If you've bought a computer in the past few months, most don't run to thier full potential. But vista will speed everything up. My computers were made for vista, so Im glad Halo 2 will be for it. That means the game will be much better and less laggy.

Now to aquire $200...
