Okay, as you all know Halo 2 is coing for the PC. You have to think for a second, if its or the PC then all of the things that will be for the game are going to be on the Computer. So if you thought cheating was bad for the Xbox version just think how amazingly bad its going to be on the computer. the files will be very accesible and very easy to "modify". please just keep this in mind.
if you havent noticed, halo pc and ce maps are stored out in the open. the ce maps arent the same fornat as pc, and the pc arent the same format as xbox.
well, bungie already tried this "anti-cheat" thing and it still didn't work. and also what does the format of the map have to with anything, all you have to do is hex edit, you can hex any program or file that is on the computer.
edit: and the first mod is going to be a frikin cheat cuz people dun know how to play halo right!
Itll be just like halo 1 on the computer relax lol. and im positive itll have the same ban system. where itll run a hex check and then if it doesnt match ur banned.
Windows Vista is a whole other realm guys. Microsoft could add blocks to keep you fom accessing those files or something. Since it's only for Vista, they could do something like that.
thats on LIVE

it should be like CE, where the maps have to match the ones you're playing with, i guess thats why the folks on bungie decided to allow us to make our own multiplayer content

no it should be the same as pc, if you do that and you make a modded server then no one can join.
And if they don't accept Jesus as their Personal Savior, you can kill them later. How cool is that!
Did ANY of you read BEEF's post? Stop making assumptions. It will be running on a new OS we know hardly anything about. You cannot make any assumptions.
I should've quoted Dos Mes because I was really talking about him
I hope Vista itself is worth it, and yes, Microsoft can do what beef said (I'm hungry I haven't eaten yet). I think someone mentioned about not being able to access some files because its not authenticated, I have to check again...
