the only reason my computer gets all theese errors andhas laggy preformence in halo is bc windows xp cant find a good enough driver for all my components

and all the errors are driver problems

so i have to get new drivers but i dont know what it doesnt have hte driver for so thats why i have all theese erorrs

and dont say "contact your system manufactuer for them" because i made the comp myself and did a clean install of windows xp so if the windows xp disk doesnt have the drivers for my hardware it wont work right because it doesnt have one thats compatible with my hardware

and the only time it crashed it usualy when im playing a game such as halo or counterstrike.

smash the rat: I deleted your post - I don't think you should say that ;).

My answer to the initial question: Until I see the full capabilities of Vista; no.

all we have to do people is wait for Bungie or microsoft to release more information about this... who knows. Vista might cost 100$ which is highly doubted. Plus people are gonna crack the game anyway to make it run on xp/win200 anyway. Ive seen it done with doom 3 all the way to win 95

I have gotten info from some site saying that the new OS (vista) Is worst system they have gotten (They said they have had Apple Mac And XP) And they said XP was the Best they have had and after that post on the site alot of people said they have vista and they said there pc is constontly shuting down automatic! And many folks there said that when they went online they could not join servers on many Games (IL2 Microsoft FS Halo One,and more) They get error messages saying Graphics Unable to Load or Router Cables Not Connected Correclty!
So i give it Zero no buy
I luv Mapping and SKinning!

well first of all the windwos vista they have is just a beta not the full version

and the reason it shuts down automaticly is becase the person who was running doesnt have enough ram jeezes you cant judge a program or os before it comes out

I thought I'd browse around here and saw this. You're extremely foolish if you want to buy Vista for Halo 2 alone. And when you put Halo 2 aside, there still isn't much else of great value that's been announced for Vista yet. It's just a pretty face. Wait until there's a reason to buy Vista. Sheesh, some of you are like puppets controlled by the media.

You know, there's many things that you would be far better spending your money on than Vista. If I had a job right now, I'd be spending my hard-earned cash on other things than it...that's for sure. Oh wait? Some of you are kids whose mummies and daddies will buy Vista anyway. I forgot.

Wow, you appear to be quite the nub....and I am pretty sure that your comment warrants a ban. I joined HaloMods near to the start - November 2003, I think (wait, it says my join date, that's right). I was fifteen then, and as Snave said correctly, I am seventeen now, yes.

Speaking of that...why the hell would a paedophile come to HaloMods of all places? I'm sorry if I offended you with the comment about spoilt rich kids, but sometimes the truth can hurt, eh? And how old are you? Twelve? Pfft, kids will be kids...

Oh, and sil3ntdarkn355, I'm fully aware that Vista will be compatible with XP applications, and possibily Windows 9x apps too, but my point was that there isn't anything particularly special for Vista at this time.

Getting back on topic...this is microsoft we are talking about. Which means that in accepting all the open ended programs it takes (IE you can install anything) I guarentee that within a week of release someone will find a way to install it on winXP. Theres just no stopping it, even if they make you use your cd key as the serial to the game, you can fake that. So really, its just how hard they are going to make it to crack.

Btw, IM not a software pirate, but I DO think this was a cheap blow to many people that dont have a choice with other OS's.

They wanted it to be ALOT less laggy( Sorry if i bump or flame ). Guys go to : http://www.Bungie.net/ there they have ... e.

I understand why you had to bump this, but some things in Vista can be done in XP + extra hardware
