Is there anyway I can swap any projectiles in H2V?

I think the utility shade made in the utilities section works, just extract a weapons meta and inject it over another's. I'm not sure about it, haven't tried for h2v.

It's quite a mess...
I don't understand: I look under proj and see things I don't understand why they're there...
Nor do I see all the projectiles...

I'll give an example: I just want to change the SMG's projectile to the Rocket Launcher's projectile.
How do I do that?
Looking into Halo2V Edit, I can't make much sense of it...
Maybe somone can clear this up for me?

Edit: Even worse... I extracted the meta bullet projectile of a Chaingun, and tried to inject it to the meta of an SMG bullet projectile...
H2V Edit gave me an expetion, and it turns out my map that I tried to inject to was unchanged...

Why don't you just swap an assault rifle bullet meta with a sniper round. Oh and put hidden teleporters all around and dont tell anyone where they are like the hundreds of noobed maps on halo 1.

Better yet swap a pistol round meta with a scenery object like a tree.

If you can't tell i'm being sarcastic, I wonder if the game would realize there's something wrong if you were playing online and kick you off though. Duno. Good luck.

H2VEdit and Lite both have a common bug. The Injecting is busted... I fixed this in 1.1 but I dont have the enegry to upload...

hmm but won't switching vehicles, bipeds and projectiles just be like hmt.


also can i try switching bipeds won't te cutscenes get expections coz if i turned my mc into a grunt i think it will not compute

In a nutshell for swaping projectiles.

Open H2Kornman.exe
Open a Pre-Existing tag (I used BR)
Create New Tag
Tile Verticaly
Copy EVERYTHING From the old tag to the new (Drop down boxes and all)
Then when It comes to projectile. Then select anything you want. Gernades drop right next to you, LIVE so run for cover!

johnny, no.

That will only work for custom maps, since H2V HEK does not have the original maps scenarios (not now, we will one day)

Once that happens, it will not copy over the original map, itll be just like chaosgulch, completely different map, but exactly like the original.

Ahh. But i'm assuming other people will see the projectile change playing my custom map unlike halo 1. Obviously because you have to auto-download the map to play it.

Sounds easy enough to me but maybe a tut will help others. I'm not really interested in swapping projectiles anyways in my map. If its my map i can place as many of any kind of weapon anywhere i want. I don't wanna blow out the barrel of a sniper rifle with a rocket. lol

You cannot spawn other objects, thats what CodeBrain says. But if he did something wrong oh well. Dont have the energy to try it,

A project IS an object. You can (still) "spawn" objects from using them like a weapon's projectile

or just make a copy of the tag you want to change and remove\change the fields you don't like then reference the new tag...
