Theres already been stuff posted on the net that allow you to run halo 2 on xp, though I wouldnt go on live if you use these methods.

well first off its nowhere near $500. its a smooth running operating system after you turn the uac off. no, it dosent delete programs it thinks is pirated. its just the newest in a fine line of M$ operating systems.
unless your computer is crap, upgrade, upgrade, upgrade. its a whole new experiance.

my uncle bought a brand new computer right before vista came out top of the line and he said vista woulndn't on it.

Halo 2 Vista is able to run with a batch file easily obtainable off google.

It is NOT ILLEGAL and you can still play live without getting banned (they cannot tell which OS you use).

I play Halo 2 Vista on my computer with Vista and I can honestly say it is probably the best thing that ever happened to Halo 2.

Get Vista for three reasons:

-DX10
-stable x64 architecture edition that has a lot of stable drivers
-only x64 OS that has a good selection of drivers and is able to have 4GB+ of RAM

If you don't like the idea of getting a 700+ computer at this point, don't complain. Your computer will not run Vista well as well as any game on it. Vista is not the best OS, but it has a lot of new stuff that is stable and well supported.

pretty much all I and many other's see in vista is some new options, and the best part, SHINY NEW BUTTONS!

and yes i knew it! there is a legal way to play halo 2 vista on windows xp I KNEW IT!
