I have a 2.66Ghz Dual Core, 1gig ram and GeForce 7600 (256mb) and I run Vista and Halo on very high settings with no problem.
My laptop also has a 3.6Ghz, 2gig ram, ATI Mobility 800x (256mb) and Vista and Halo also run fine on very high settings (Although ATI sucks)
And for the record Vista does have its problems. Half the software I use does not work in Vista, Including 90% of the games out, even if you turn compatibility for XP SP2 on. Networking is much harder than it should be when trying to connect two Vista machines and impossible to network a XP/Vista setup even with the official patch from Microsoft.
The best thing about Vista is its visuals, which is why it is called "Vista" and not "Perfect OS." Personally I think if they stop support for XP we should all stop support for Microsoft and let them die. A few more years and Linux will own the market. At least Linux doesn't make absolute retarded standards and tell everyone to learn and live with them. Ever get official microsoft answers? They are confusing and NEVER work.
Can i Run Vista Now

lol, dude said vista is a marketing tool... ha ha.. was xp a marketing tool when everyone was running windows 2000 or older? wow. my analogy about xbox 360 and old xbox wasnt anything about the hardware it was the fact that it is also made by m$ and did anyone notice a differance? hells yeah. they dont come out with bunk, usually their os's start with bugs but they quickly distribute the bug spray..
