game trouble

So I was playing halo 2 vista and I got like all head snipes with sniper and was like owning some Elites(this was all in campaign). I was bored so I wanted to play multiplayer. But when I tried to get into a game it told me that I was using an offline profile. Any help?

well i got two profies 1 live and the other one not. see if ur profile has the word live beside it.

You have to have a subscription to either xbox live or to Windows Live games or something to that nature. You are using an offline profile because your profile isn't online capable. So you will either need to pay a subscription fee or get one of the xbox live gamercards that will give you a Gold account for 1-12 months. Depending on how long you want to have a Gold membership. Prices vary accordingly.

Couldn't he create a silver account and play just fine as well? I seem to remember there being something about how you can play online with a silver account, but you just couldn't use some features the gold account would.

You don't NEED Gold membership to play Halo 2 Vista online. Just get a free Silver membership and you can use that to play online. But you won't be able to make your own servers and you can only join dedicated servers.

Well I have a gamercard, like I can go log into it online, but it says that it is offline. I got the gold membership car or w/e it is with the game when i bought it... hmm let me try something.
