go for 7 or 8 because from my experience, and even bungie's help section, the exporter have real trouble in 3ds max 9 (like Battlefield anything) and otherwise 7 and 8 are pretty much the same unless you get heavy into modeling or using the Havok engine things (the toy car is a awsome little thingy) Phew!

Its too bad there are no newer exporters that support 3ds max 9 or 3ds max 2008. Its a sad fact for the time being. V9 and the new versions of max are basicly the same thing but the new ones can handle alot more action.
Go for 7 or 8.

If you look at the sidebar in 3ds max 8 there is all the havok bodys like a rigid body soft body. then there are other structure things like the toy car tool which defines a body and 4 tires and the torque power and weight of the car. (like my first was an attempt to make a pool car (a box with water in it on wheels))johnnyblaz20 wrote:What toy car?CompKronos wrote:(the toy car is a awesome little thingy) Phew!
