patch?? are evil

hi jackson117 here i am not connected to LIVE but every time i install a patch a message comes up saying halo 2 could not run cause another LIVE program is running and then i have to unistall halo 2 and reinstall it.

what do i have to do i want those patches.

do i have to sign up with LIVE for it to work???

Yes, you have to connect to live, you atleast need a silver account.
Also turn your UAC off.

so i have to go online to play halo 2 vista or just sign up with the patch

If you want the patches . Sign up with Xbox live silver and download the patches. After that it should work fine and if you want add freinds and use private chat and compare gamerscore ... thats what xbox live silver is for!

thanks but im got dial-up so will it still work if i download the patch manually.coz its keeps saying after i,ve updated it manaully a patch is ready again and im think wtf . plus it finshes to the end of the download bar and does nothing
