Halo 2 Graphics Question

Post by SimonsSnipe »

I had halo 2 for vista on my other PC, worked fine, had some fun modding it out and what not, but i was working on a full game mod to make it look crisper for those who cant run it on full and im about 3/4ths the way threw...but one biggg problem

My pc broke...and i mean got smacked to little peices lol, i had a copy of my work on my laptop thank god, but now i cant edit it and test it on my other pc since the graphics card is a ATI Radeon 9250 (Only has pci slots so i cant upgrade to something else that will work with the game)

Is there a way to get it to run so i can test my mod as i go along?

And is it even my video card thats problem? I Ask microsoft support and they said vista isnt compatable with the 9250 cause of direct x10 being required...

If you ask me i think its a bunch of horse shit lol...but wanted to ask here b4 i did anything rash (like getting a new PC)

I dont have a DX 10 graphics card. I have no problem. I have 2 1950 pros on crossfire.

Mines not supported by Vista, it shows up in the device manager and says its working properly so i think it was just a BS lie to keep me from asking again. but the game wont even start on the computer. Double click and nothing happens. My Graphics rating is 1, was wondering if theres any way to edit halos requirement checks or something to bypass it and see if thats the reason it wont open up.

I probably wont get an answer here though...figured i would try b4 i bug tech support about it again lol

Well thats probably because you have old drivers, Go download the Vista drivers for your card, if you cant find them look for a generic driver maybe. My cards show a rating of 1 without the right drivers.
