How do i make a hole in a base's wall?

I just want to know how to make a hole in a bases wall. I know it has somthing to do with vertices but i don't know how. If you know how to then could you please tell me? Thanks.

delete the faces and make new ones

use the extrude tool in max.

To make a hole in a wall there are many options. You can use cut to make more edges on both sides. Use the X Y Z to make the edges the same height. And like hell_knight said. delete faces and then maybe bridge the edges. or create new faces using create.

Or totally delete the wall. make a smaller box or cylinder. place it where you want your hole. delete the sides connecting the outside to the inside. and re-create your wall around it using the create tool.

And those are probably the most noobish techniques.
